Therefore, I would like to post all of the helpful ideas and offers made to me by my awesome friends and family! I have been so lucky to be surrounded by such awesome people! Here are a couple tips I have learned to help keep it within budget.

You might know someone who already owns beautiful property cutting rental costs.
The first suggestion comes from my dad. His idea is absolutely beautiful and fits perfectly with the theme. Rock Mill, Alabama. At this location, there is a river that runs over a bed of rock next to an old mill. The idea is to wed on the bed of rock facing either the mill or the beautiful landscape down stream, then have the reception
across the road on the pasture next to the stream. Unfortunately, the location is a bit too far for most attending the wedding to travel, including myself. Ideally, I would like to find a location central for all and be easily accessible for pre-wedding arrangements. During Thanksgiving break, we were able to revisit this location and I absolutely LOVE it! I'm thinking this will be the
perfect location for an engagement photo session.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. You don't have to have one thing for each. If friends are willing to lend it, borrow it. Of course, be sure to return it afterwards.
My mother said that she is willing to lend/give my the veil she wore at her wedding. We thought about me wearing her dress as well, but my mother was skinny-minny at her wedding. (Plus, she's shorter than me...) Not only am I honored to wear this, but we all know how expensive veils can be.
Also, Kenny's mother has offered so much as well. She has offered to make the guest quilt and the jams for the party favors. I love the quilt idea, but, until I know I will be able to help with the jam making, I have not decided whether that is do-able or not. How awesome are out parents?!
Not only have our mothers offered to lend me her veil, but I have had several other friends offer help. As I mentioned before, two coworkers have offered mason jars and twelve flower vases. Speaking of coworkers, I would just like to say that I love my coworkers and there couldn't be a greater group of people who show their care for each other as much as they do. I truly feel like I
am working with a family. They have really made the transition from home so much easier.

Keeping it simple.
People have been asking me what my colors are and my response is none. I have a theme, but none of this is set in stone. If I decide on colors, I have to shop based on those select colors possibly raising the cost of the wedding. Even the theme is up for negotiation, though I doubt it will be changing by much. After all, I DO need something to help guide my decisions.
Also, keep the decorations simple. My decoration ideas are pretty simple. Candles, jars, and simple flowers from the grocery store in simple vases or large mason jars.
Second-hand shops are my best friends.
Though I haven't had the chance to check any out yet, I can't wait to browse through and see what I can find. Once I find something, I'll upload the photos. I'm even open to second-hand dresses given the condition. I mean, really, they are only ever really worn but once. A friend recommended this website for second-hand dresses → www.preownedweddingdresses.com
Speaking of dresses, I have no idea what kind I want... I like them all. Mom and I need to go shopping so I know what silhouette fits me best.
And lastly, be flexible.
Yes. I have a theme. You can clearly see it through this blog alone, however, we haven't found the venue yet, so all of this is subject to change. (Though I hope not by much.)

Yet again, I am at Starbucks and discovered that every Tuesday they release a new free song download! Given I love the music they are playing right now, this is awesome!
This weeks download is Down in the Valley by The Head and the Hearts.
I actually really like it and might look into buying the album. If you like the Avett Brothers, you may like this. I love it!
